Meet The Team

Dan O'Donoghue MCIOB

Managing Director

Dan has been with Bastows since 2014 and oversees every facet of our operation.

His leadership style is based in trust and respect, and he has shown himself to be a great example to our team.

His experience and qualifications are in building surveying, and he has an expert eye for building client relationships as well as managing project tenders.


Andy Raczinkaitis


Andy’s connection to Bastows goes back to the 1990s- we think he likes it here!

With a background in scaffolding, plumbing and heating engineering and extensive experience as a CEO and Managing Director, Andy brings leadership and industry know-how to his role. His vision has seen Bastows both diversify and grow.

Niki McGrane Chartered MCIPD

Cultural Director

Niki joined Bastows in 2007 and has designed and implemented systems across the business, encompassing accreditations, HR, training and communications.

She has managed our marketing strategy which has seen our business recognised as a leader in our market and designed programmes that develop our investment in and care for our people.

Frank Bastow


Frank has been owner of the family firm for over 25 years, and it is during his tenure that we established relationships with London’s largest prestige property companies.

He has developed several other businesses in industries as diverse as coaching, software development and music.

Andy Mildner

Finance Director

Andy is a CIMA accountant with 25 years experience in private banking and private equity, having worked in Surrey, London and Guernsey and looked after clients from all over the world.

He has worked with Bastows since 2010 and effectively manages all aspects of company finance and accounts.

Aimee Cooper


Aimee has kickstarted the new year by joining the Bastows Family as an Administrator.

Coming in with a background in art and events, Aimee has a creative flair that she incorporates within her work. She effectively ensures that all of her duties are carried out in an accurate and timely manner, and enjoys building relationships with clients.

Matt Robins


Matt has been with Bastows since the beginning of 2018 and is a key and valued part of the Sales team.

He ensures that projects are priced in accordance with client specifications, and works to develop our network of specialist partners. He works to ensure accuracy and prompt service, and has managed the pricing of complex and diverse projects.

Uzejir 'Chupo' Zecevic

Senior Site Manager

Chupo has been part of the Bastows family for almost 20 years, starting as a painter and decorator before progressing to Site Manager in 2009 and Senior Site Manager in 2017.

He has managed projects of values up to £1.3m, working across London. His knowledge and expertise makes him invaluable to busy property managers who work with him- and new clients quickly come to know the value Chupo offers a project partnership.

Alen Kasic

Site Manager

Alen has been with Bastows for over 10 years, developing excellent client relationships with his unique insight, technical knowledge and problem solving skills.

He has managed some of the most complex projects we have undertaken in recent years, with values from £130,000 to over £1,100,000, and always ensures every detail is taken care of- giving clients complete peace of mind.

Robert Piekarz

Site Manager

Bobby started with Bastows over 10 years ago as a Painter and Decorator. He became a Site Supervisor and was quickly promoted again to Site Manager due to his dedication to client satisfaction and industry knowledge.

He has managed works across the city ranging in value from £70,000 to £950,000 and is always especially focused on caring for residents and neighbours.

Gunars Locs

Site Manager

Gunars joined us in 2017 and has rapidly become a respected and very much valued member of the family.

He has successfully managed several projects ranging from £170,000 to £400,000, working with key clients. He demonstrates a great understanding of the property managers’ and residents’ needs and is superbly organised.

Gunars’ rule for life is “Be consistent.”

Alan Crichton

Site Manager

Alan’s connection to Bastows goes back to the early 1990s, and after leaving us in 2010 to focus on development projects, we were delighted that he returned to the Family in 2019.

He has extensive experience and knowledge in building and renovation, and works with a positive, ‘can do’ approach- meaning he is already very much in demand with our clients.

Alex Terry

Site Manager

Joining us in early 2020, Alex has extensive experience in the restoration and refurbishment of prestige homes. His positive approach and knowledge have already seen him establish himself as a respected member of the team.

Alex originally hails from Chicago and we are delighted he’s chosen Bastows as his London family.

Andy Baxter

Site Manager

Andy joined Bastows as a Painter in 2019 and his talent and approach saw him quickly promoted to Site Manager.

His experience, ability and commitment to excellence make him a valued member of our Family, and we are delighted to have him on board.

Derek Boyle

Site Manager

Derek joined Bastows as a Site Manager in April 2020.

Hi background is in site and project management, and further back he worked in financial services for multinational companies.

His experience, knowledge and friendly manner have helped him become invaluable already- he’s also a whiz at the virtual quiz nights we have run during lockdown!

Solomon Deselane

Supervisor/ Painter and Decorator

Solomon joined Bastows as an Apprentice Painter and Decorator in 2008, quickly proving his skill and ability to learn.

He became a Site Supervisor in 2017, and is well loved by us all for his calm demeanour, consideration for colleagues, exceptional knowledge and focus on resident wellbeing.

Devral Hawkins

Supervisor/ Painter and Decorator

After joining the Bastows Family in 2017, Devral successfully completed his Apprenticeship in 2019. He has shown great commitment and ability and we can’t wait to see what he achieves.

He has worked continually to develop his knowledge and skills and is a popular, valued member of the team.

Witold 'Will' Wilk

Painter and Decorator

Will joined us over 15 years ago and is so much a part of things here that we can’t imagine Bastows without him.

His vast experience as a painter and decorator makes him the ‘go-to guy’ for any questions and we love how he takes time to do all he can to help anyone learn and succeed.

Tommy Webb

Supervisor/ Painter and Decorator

Tommy has been part of our Family for so long, he’s often been referred to as ‘the heart of Bastows.’

His ability, knowledge and commitment to develop his colleagues is key to our success, and we love to see how he coaches others to attain his high standards.
